LIE The junior class has achieved a top rating in all its undertakings and activities for the year. Its continued high representation on the honor roll and the marvelous success of all their extra curricular activities proved this both socially and scholastically. Acquiring knowledge and building a strong character is the aim of every student as one with- out the other is of little value. In gym good sportsmanship is learned along with developing physical skill. Understanding the development of our country and discussing current events in American history tends to promote broadminded- ness and sympathy in social matters that can be applied throughout life. Both the reading of literature and the studying of grammar are helpful especially in promoting proper speech and writing habits. Knowing this is essential in their commercial subjects because without a knowledge of the rules of punctuation, typing and shorthand cannot be mastered.
