C5 It seems only yesterday that I watched you romp into room 33 for the first of your two hour sessions with me It seems only yesterday but I know the calen dar is more accurate in showing four years So great have been the changes' It has been fun to be a part of your growing up from the noisy, awkward, impa tient, genuine youngsters you were then to the poised, capable, appreciative and likable people you are now I hope that you will never ever lose your keen zest for living, your thorough enjoyment of people, your eagerness to try new things, your ability to laugh even at yourselves if the occasion demands, and that rare quality of under standing which I have always loved in you You will need all these gifts in the future which faces you For some of you life will be kind, for many of you.l1fe will demand much May you find the courage, the tolerance, the stamina necessary to meet all challenges with dis tinction and honor You who understand me so well need not be told that you have a special place in my heart You have been assured of that since that Yesterday of years ago The I intervening years have only served to establish you more firmly in my affections In truth, what happens to you happens in part to me also.
