jh Principal 'S Message, During the past several years, each of you has been witness to many changes in our society. You have seen increased concern for our envi- ronment, the ills of our political structure, and the continuous increase in the cost of living, to mention but a few. Your high school years have provided a security — a security perhaps not realized. The educational gains enjoyed from your school years remain to be tested, and the results may not be known for many years. The ills of society confronting us will not be solved easily; it took many years to create them. As graduates, you will face many decisions and challenges. You can elect to sit back and cast the blame on others for our shortcomings, or you can elect to become involved and put your edu- cation and common sense to work. You do have a say — a vote — a responsibility to become involved, to face decisions and challenges head on. Don't cop out. Each of us has something pos- itive to contribute. Satisfaction derives from doing the job well. May each of you have much satisfaction with your chosen goals and life.

The, Message, Congratulations to the graduates of the Class of 1974. You are like young eagles who have been nurtured and have gained the strength and prowness to stand on the edge of the aerie and take your initial flight. Hopefully, you have gained the essential tools and skills to swoop, to soar and to glide in whatever direction you desire. We hope you will return to visit the nest that is nurturing those who will follow. Good luck and best wishes in whatever you choose to do. Mr . Thelmo
