1900 We'll try to show the progress made Since first the school began, Because the school term was the last Before the rural plan. The doors in school here, opened first In Eighteen ninety-eight. Here classes met all in one room That now seems out of date. The freshmen and the sophomores Were then called Junior High While juniors and famed seniors Were classed as Senior High. 0. D. Coupher teacher was, In case you often wondered, When first class here did graduate In year of Nineeen-hundred. They class pins bought instead of rings The way we always do But be it pins, instead of rings Still sure, they proud were too. -1959 No music then was taught in school Except a little singing, And then of course the music made While bell in school was ringing. Gladstonian,' was the only group Which then was organized. Now could it be our PTA From it has been revised? Their members too were made up of Community and school. To give a program twice a year Seemed to have been their rule. A four year course adopted was In Nineteen-hundred eight, And this you know was carried on Up to this present date. Buildings for science and for ag. In '37 new, Were followed by a grand new gym And soon a grade' school too. We'd like to show our gratitude To all who helped promote And gladly did their part to aid Moundridge High School's growth.
