They opened the season with a 20 - 7 loss to Marion in a non-league contest. League play began with a thrilling 7 - 6 victory over Halstead. On October 11, before a honie- i coming crowd, the 'Cats lost a thriller to Nickerson 7 - 6. This was followed by 40 - 7 and 32 - 2 blastings by Haven and Pretty Prairie, respectively. 1 The Wildcats returned to the winning way by defeating Inman 13 - 0, 1 however, Buhler proved too powerful as they whitewashed the 'Cats 48 - 13. l At the close of the season the Burrton game was forfeited by the Eagles be- cause of influenza. The five losses do not prove that MHS had an unsuccessful season. Many l sophomores saw action, which indicates that Moundridge might be doing p well in the future. 1 The second team played several games during the season, as did the freshmen. Cal Unruh and Don Wedel show evidence of pre-game tension as they emerge from the dressing room. s SENIOR LETTERMEN Mel Ratzlaff, guard: Daniel 1 Wedel, endg Dick Gaeddert, endg Glenn Rupp, tackle. osunQLe-- - .-
