SUMMER When summer finally arrived Mound Wes tonka students were ready. We put on our swimming suits and jumped in the boats, we were off to Big Island. However, as the summer progressed we had to go work our summer jobs. Students were found at Fletchers. A W. Pizza on the Lake, and many others. When we weren't working we could probably be found at parties, mini putting. boating, and just plain relaxing. As the nights grew cooler and the days shorter, we came out of our dream world and went back to reality. the reality of school. But the summer nights remained in our thoughts for we knew that vacation comes only once a year. Top-Jenny Strand. Kris Kohls. Dana Lewman. and Kim Zuhcrt spend a relaxing day in Duluth. AROUND MOUND WESTONKA What’s around Mound Wes tonka? Mound is filled with spirit, pride and lots of students, 956 to be exact. Many of these students can be found falling asleep in class, cramming for a test or taking advantage of the trial activity period. Wherever they are you can bet they are counting the minutes until the weekend begins. Weekend activities range from spending time at a local hangout (Hardee’s and McDonalds) to a last minute party.
