Under the coaching of Miss Recker, Girls track had a very successful beginning year. The 20 girls participated in three meets Coon Rapids placing 4th out of 7 schools at Cooper, and came in 2nd at Minnetonka. They lost by one point to Minnetonka. The energetic girls are looking forward to a fuller year of competition next season. Hal Wood was the team's leading hurdler and finished second for the team in scoring. Varsity Baseball The 1970 Varsity baseball team totaled five wins, eleven losses, and one tie. John Skinner was elected captain of the team, most valuable player, and was chosen for the All Lake Conference. Mr. Soule and Mr. Exel coached the team and Duane Bjerkass was the manager.
