Assistant Track coach . . . “Happiness is 3:30 Friday.” In Graphic Arts I letterpress work and silksrrccning were concentrated on. Photography and offset printing were taught in Graphic Arts II. More emphasis was put on photography this year as it was also used in offset printing. Beginning drafting was based on the units of orthographic projection and perspective drawing. Drafting II included both machine and architectural drawing. One of the architertual drawing projects this year included drawing a complete set of plans for the building of a school. 21

Audio-Visual Coordinator. Electronics Club and Stage Crew advisor . . . “Happiness is Success. Developing Potential There were two main industrial arts courses; the series of Wood Shop I. II and III, and a similar sequence in Metal Shop I, II and III. In both courses the students drew up original plans and determined the costs of their projects. They progressed from basic projects, such as tables, to more advanced constructions. In Electronics I and II. the students dealt with electricity and basic electronic principles. Harry Bo khaus . . ood Shop AH students completed their own projects with . . . Happiness is knowing the . . r ... ...... circuits, transmitters and radio. Tom Matson and Paul Erwin concentrate hard in electronics class. 20

Building Bodies What a game! Sophomore attempt a game with the “Moon Ball . The Physical Education department this year competed in the National Physical Fitness Program. The girls were taught to he athletic and graceful as they participated in field hockey, moonhall. gymnastics, volleyball and bowling. Boys Phys. Ed. classes tried to give the students power, strength and ability to cooperate with others. Along with the usual seasonal sports, the boys also participated in handball, soccer, volleyball, gymnastics and bowling. Kathryn Ann Young . . . Girls Physical Education and Health 10 ... Pep Club, Cheer-leading and G.A.A. Advisor ... “Happiness is losing inches along with the girls as we exercise in class.” 22
