GOVE hoped to become an engineer; however, after the war he decided to teach history since he had always enjoyed the subject. He is A squad football coach. MR. KING views the new school as having many excellent features, the absence of windows doesn’t seem to make much difference.” Mr. King is a graduate of the University of Minnesota at Duluth. Other People, Melvin W. Gimmcstad—Social Problems Donald Reimer—American History, Physical Education MR. GIMMESTAD feels that his tenth grade history class inspired him to become a teacher. He finished writing a book in 1964, The History of Mound to 1912. This thesis enabled him to get his Master’s Degree at Macalaster College. John P. Blomlie—American History, World History MR. BLOMLIE feels that the biggest advantage of a small school is that the teachers know the students’ problems. Mr. Blomlie’s interest in people led him to the teaching profession. He coaches B squad baseball, B” squad basketball, and is assistant A” squad football coach. MR. REIMER attended Mountain Lake High School and Augsburg College. He has always wanted to be a teacher and a coach. He is the A” squad basketball coach. 14

Preparation For The Business World When he isn't teaching or correcting papers, MR. FOX enjoys duck hunting, golf and bowling. He is the Gun-safety Club advisor. MR. KRAGNESS, This year’s vocational training program, in which about twenty students are enrolled, has been very successful so far.” A graduate of the University of Minnesota, he is the secretary of PTSA and advisor to D.E. and O. Club. Bowling, fishing, and watching sports events take up most of MR. MUTH’s spare time. This year we have more students participating on the staff of the Mohian than in previous years.
