Class Officers, Motto, Flower, and Colors The Senior Class didn't have much to do this year, compared to their busy Junior year. Their Senior Class play was the only big money raising project; for the purpose of a scholarship. May 31, the class of ’58 donned their caps and gowns, walked slowly down the aisle, received their diplomas, and walked out of their alma mater—some with tears in their eyes —never to be high school Seniors again. The world awaits them. CLASS MOTTO: “What! Me Worry?” CLASS FLOWER: Violet CLASS COLORS: Blue and Silver SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS. E. Vraalttad, Vue-Preudent; M. Pauly, Treasurer; S. Olson, Secretary; B. Erickson. President. 18

Mr. Bchmler advising Gerard. Eeny, Meeny, Miney, Moe, find the key and let ’er go! Now Sue don’t get mad! The big smile and cheerful voice of Gerard Orsi, was welcome to all. Gerard soon turned into a typical Mound High Schooler. He kicked his locker, threw crepe paper when the Seniors decorated their homecoming float, yelled at the football games and wrestling matches, and picked up a good share of teen-age jargon. While learning the ways of Americans, Gerard also compiled an excellent scholastic record, and gained the respect of all of us. We’ll always remember you Gerard. “When the moon’a hits your eye like a big’a Pizza Pie that’s a More’a”— says Gerard Orsi, foreign exchange from Italy. 19
