A typical day in Shop. The roster of the Mott Cannonball F.F.A. chap- ter for the l960-6l school term comprised of 67 members . The 3rd District F.F.A. meeting was held at New England, on October 31. The chapter won a gold rating in the parlimentary procedure contestg a gold medal was awarded to Gary Berreth for pub- lic speaking and Darrell Fiedler, the creed contes- tant, also won a gold rating in his respective con- test. Gary was selected to represent the district at the l96l state convention in public speaking. One of the major events of the chapter yearly activities was the F.F.A . Parent and Son Banquet held on December 14, l960. Ulrich Trautwein gave a report on his attendence and impression of the an- nual National F.F.A. Convention which he attended during October, in Kansas City, Missouri. A radio program, under the sponsorship of the Mott Pioneer Press, was presented over KNDC of Hettinger, for F.F.A. week, which was February 19-25. Mr. Wayne Ditmer, Chapter Advisorg and Sig Trautwein, President, also appeared on KDIX T.V. of Dickinson during F.F.A. week. Linda Landis was chosen by the chapter mem- bers to be the Chapter Sweetheart for 1960-6l. The chapter's entry in the annual Homecoming Parade captured first placeg this was the first time the F.F.A . won this award. 31
