Music News The Mott High School music department proved outstanding once again through the ef- forts of Mr . Urban Gratz . He was director of all large groups and also the small ensembles . Fifty voices comprised the Concert C hoir . Its first performance was the annual Christ- mas program. A television special by the choir was also presented before Christmas . Any senior boy or girl is eligible to participate in boys' or girls' chorus. The girls' chorus had forty-five members, the boys' chorus nineteen. Noreen Mills, Linda Landis, and Virginia Roberts were the members of the girls' trio, while Darlyne Kamrath joined them to form the quartet. Members of the boys' quartet were Gary Berreth, Bob Skogley, Lynn Brackel, and Jeffery Auch. The Concert Band, composed of forty-nine members, was again active in many school functions, including playing for football and basketball games . Small ensembles of the past year were the sax quartet, flute quartet, brass sextet, and woodwind quintet. 25
