Miss Eleanor Barrett, senior English teacher, has been caught by our ever-ready camera while leisurely preparing a class assignment. i It i ii 'hh Ni ii? - 0 Lending a helping hand and giving a steer in the right direction to Sharon Kling is Sister Mary Adele R.S.M., the school librarian, English Department Aids 20 Confused by participial phrases? Puzzled by the meter of Shakespearek sonnets? The English dc- partment as Mercy is well qualified to aid you. In- troducing the freshmen to the fundamentals of high school literature and grammar is Miss Janice Dugan, C.D.L. moderator. Helping the sopho- mores along this poetic pathway is Miss Dulah Pulskamp, underclassmen dramatics instructor. Directed by Miss Joan Brunsman, :iGleaningsii ad- visor, juniors follow the growth of our American literature and brush up on the parts of speech. Completing with iiMacbcth,i and icCantcrbury Tales? seniors depend upon Miss Eleanor Barrett to guide them through the last phase of this course. When a graduate closes her book, she might be- lieve her encounter with English is over, but she still has to speak. Displaying the dramatic art of characterization through literature to some sophomore English students is Miss Duiah Pulskamp.
