In- troducing the freshmen to the fundamentals of high school literature and grammar is Miss Janice Dugan, C.D.L. moderator. Helping the sopho- mores along this poetic pathway is Miss Dulah Pulskamp, underclassmen dramatics instructor. Directed by Miss Joan Brunsman, :iGleaningsii ad- visor, juniors follow the growth of our American literature and brush up on the parts of speech. Completing with iiMacbcth,i and icCantcrbury Tales? seniors depend upon Miss Eleanor Barrett to guide them through the last phase of this course. When a graduate closes her book, she might be- lieve her encounter with English is over, but she still has to speak. Displaying the dramatic art of characterization through literature to some sophomore English students is Miss Duiah Pulskamp.

Concentration is the key word for Mary Ann Early, Barbara Ellis, Janice Hoberg, and Kathy Wood, diligently preparing their religion. 19 W cantt find my keys! I guess F11 end up spending the night at school again!H Poor Miss Eileen Bonekamp, hut thafs all right, at least sheill be on time for morning classes! Room for one more? ttAnd the light shines in the darknesst, comes into reality as Mercy students attend their daily religion classes and become inspired by the many awaken- ing truths of our faith, Besides teaching freshman religion Mrs. Veronica Boeskin practices safe habits as moderator of the new Safety Club. Al- though religion 11 takes up much of Miss Eileen Bonekampk time, she still manages to tutor World History and journalism, and to advise the members of the Gleanings staff. These teachers support the idea of steering minds to the service of God.
