28 A dab of paint, a brush, an easel and lots of talent go a long way to make Jerilyn Meyer a flourishing and successful artist. Sister Mary Sharon, R.S.M., art instructor, smiles happily us she carefully and eagerly begins working on her latest masterpiece. Paris doesn't know what it's missing! These future art- ists constantly study and apply the techniques of fine art. They create from their imagination new and vivid figures of all sizes and shapes. They do not re- strict their endeavors to sketching and painting, but they work in difterenf media, such as in plaster, mosaic and Finger painting. A study of art reflects a much better understanding of the cultural aspects of life and a realization of the beauties of nature, whether it be a dead maple tree, a flowering shrub, a newly plowed field, or snow lying on the ground. Nature is the subiect of Barbara Hogan's art proiect. Susan Heim stops her work to cast an admiring glance on Barbara's painting.
