Numbers Intrigue Mathematical Minds Presiding over all, in the complicated world of Knowledge, is that true wizard, Mathematics. He has escorted many adventurous Mercians through his challenging realm. First visited by Freshmen in the province of Algebra I with all the unknown :65 and 3'75. The Sophomores are confronted with postulates and axioms in Plane Geometrfs realm. Our Junior Math geniuses discover themselves in a more conversant world of Algebra II where the knowledge of equations is applied. The Seniors contemplate the formulas in Trigonometry Land as more difficult than the three preceding realms. Since study brings its own reward, our Mercians constantly recall their four years of hard study which gained for them a knowledge of mathematics. History students keep up to date on all recent events. relate past happenings, and prepare for future crises. World history is the story of the peoples of our World. American history treats chiefly of our country. Problems of Democracy imprints on our minds the democratic Way of life as it was and is now lived. Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors readily mature in this atmosphere of various cultures. They will then become appreciative citizens of our nation, ready to occupy their places in world aHairs of today Civics and American history teachers, Sister Mary Perpetua.
