These are just three of many ways that Miss Mercy learns homemaking. earn any sefill Xi Babys first bath presents no real difhculty for junior Lynda Dorrington as she gently washes his head under the watchful eye of Miss Runge, Red Cross instructor. Judy Nelson is content to just make something. Does it gobble. possibly? Paint. some paint brushes, an easel. a group of eager and talented girls . . . Combine all of these things and you have any one of the many art classes here at Mercy. lt may be freshmen just beginning to explore the vast held ot' art or the sophomores designing posters. Again. it may be the juniors molding eeramies or seniors doing the work of their ehoiee. At all times ol' the day you will find the art room alive with activity. Little kindergarten people with perfect profiles make pretty models for the artistic hands of Margaret Lind and Ellen Marshall as they learn to make silhouettes.

The Mercy girls who are considering a business career attend sessions for typing, shorthand, bookkeeping and ollice practice. The continuous click, clack of the typewriter and the conscientious work done by scores of busy business-minded students are reasons why so many successful secretaries come from Mercy.
