In cooking class, the girls are taught the art of preparing tasty foods with ease. These future chefs bake, fry, and broil everything from Soup to Nuts. Though the girls watch calories in preparing their dinners, they always include the Basic Seven. Yearning to be a seamstress? Well, why not join the sewing class at Mercy? The students are shown the best methods of cutting, sewing and pressing various types of material. Each girl who takes one or more of the homemaking courses that Mercy has to offer will readily accept the saying, 'Practice Makes Perfect.
