The little school which was opened in that first convent has multiplied into scores of institutions. One of these was Y Y Mother of Mercy Villa, which opened in J Westwood in 1915, and was changed in 1943 to Mother of Mercy High School. a much-needed inter-parochial school in this rapidly-expanding section of the city. And ' so the Mercy spirit continues to grow! l I T 'W ' M1715 .. ,I ln tribute to the pioneer Sisters of Mercy, Father Thomas Connell, with the assistance of Father James J.
