Alma. Fun? 3 ,5453 ms. 6 H .wa Jan 7300... Pope Boniface Vlll proclaimed the FIRST HOLY YEAR of Christian times. It declared that a plenary indulgence could be received by all who, having confessed, visited the bosilicas of St. Peter and St. Paul in Rome and prayed for the intention of the Holy Father. From 142510 1950 these iubilees occurred regularly every twenty-fifth year with only a few exceptions. The year 1950 presents an opportunity to the faithful of our day to ioin the devout covolcade of the centuries that leads to Rome, the Eternal City, center of the Catholic Faith.
