Our Lady of the Pillar Text of the formal resolution sent by the sodalists to His Holiness Pope Pius XII in gratitude for his proclamation of the dogma of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary: Hfhereas it has pleased Your Holiness, through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, to enrich the cult of the Blessed Virgin Mary by the solemn proclamation of her universal queenship, and, whereas, under date of the thirty-first of our Blessed Mothefs month of May, the liturgy of the one, Roman, Catholic and apostolic Church has been enhanced by an added jewel in an already radiant crown, be it known, that the Marianist Sodality of the Immaculate Conception of Most Holy Trinity High School in Brooklyn, New York, does hereby extend to Your Holiness our heartfelt grati- tude and hlial affection.
