1946-194 His quiet efficient play helped win many a ball game for the Williamsburgers and never-to-be- forgotten are the games against St. Francis and Cathedral won by his last minute field goals. Other players include scrappy Jim FitzCuerald, Herb Rossman, Sal Villani, Bill Casey, Jim Cal- laghan, Tom Donovan, Frank Kelly, Tony Cal- abrese, and Frank Winkelman. The fact that we can be justly proud of our team at all times is due to the untiring efforts of our coaches Chick Keegan and Joe Geary and to the efficient administration of Bro, Paul Boeckerman, athletic director. A tense moment on the bench. Going down the line from the right we see T. Donoyan, H. Rossman, J. Rose, F. Winkelman, F. Kelly, Bro. Paul Boeckerman, Coach Keegan, and Coach Geary. Baseball Intramurals HST.--41 CATHEDRAL--33 The Wililamsburgers had to come from behind to overcome Cathedral. I'l.T.--53 BROOKLYN PREP--32 Brennan, McGraw, and Rossman collected sixteen, thirteen, and twelve points, re- spectively as Trinity beat the Prepsters. H.T.--40 ST. FRANCIS--38 ln the most thrilling game of the season, Captain Ed McGraw scored two tield goals in the last ten seconds of play. R. T.--45 ST. JO!-iN'S PREP--49 Playing with a leg injury, Torn Brennan was unable to lend his usually dependable support and the Tigers bowed 45-49. H. T.--32 LOUGHLIN--50 Despite Tom Brennan's sixteen points Laughlin pulled an upset. H.T.--39 ST. MICHAEUS--37 The Tigers were just able to gain the margin of victory. H. T.---55 BROOKLYN PREP--35 ln this 55-35 triumph, Cook McLaugh- lin broke the individual scoring record for one game by gaining thirty-one points. I-l.T.--35 ST. AUGUSTINFS--37 Handicapped by a very poor court and playing conditions, the Tigers lost to the Lancers 35-37. H. T.--42 CATHEDRAL-40 Captain Ed McGraw again provided a thrilling finish, coming through in the final seconds with a right handed push shot. H. T.--34 ST. JOHN'S PREP-40 The Reclmen managed to stop the Tigers for the third straight time to eliminate them from the Haggerty Tournament. H. T.-32 RICE-40 Mcl.aughlin's seventeen points went to no avaii as Rice ousted Trinity from the Knights of Columbus Tournament 32-40. Sal Villani slips through St. John's to rack up another deuce. Bill Casey breaks the ice inthe sea- son's opener with a beautiful lett- handed lay-up. 9 Herb Rossrnan watches his shot zip the net for two points against Cathedral.
