The athletic field has also been exploited by this term. The Trinity freshman team is enjoying one of its best seasons in many years mainly because its nucleus and starting tive is composed mainly of third termers. These hardwood stars are F. Slattery, J. Grainger, F. Daniele, J. McSherry, R. Kirwan, R. Wilson, T. Rogers, J. Ryan, and J. Baranello. Baseball also has its attractions for the third term, J. Grainger, M. Burns, R. Kir- wan, F. Daniele, R. Delaney, and J. McSherry are promising prospects for the J. V. team. Leading the class in all these en- deavors are J. Ryan, President, F. Daniele, Vice-President, and R. De- laney, Secretary. We are well on our way to becoming the outstanding class in the school and we will not stop until we have reached the top. iriririr OFFICERS: Secretary, R. W WW . E, the third term of Trinity High School, have been called one of the best in the school in all departments - scholastic, athletic, and extra-curricular. This honor is the result ofthe hard work and driv- ing school spirit which characterizes a third termer. The third term is represented in the various extra-curricular depart- ments by outstanding men of the class. In music, for instance, those third termers who have distinguished themselves are J. Gahrman, F. An- nunziata, and F. Magan. A Catholic Action group has been formed and is generally recognized as the best in the school. The members are J. McDermott, D. Mackay, E. Hughes, T. Rooney, A. Ryan, A. Moran, T. Rufer, and B. McCormack. The third term has, in the last Marianist Drive, achieved recognition as the best class in the school, in fact, in the nation, with a record breaking one ir1k'k'k ALGEBRA: A. Cangelosi and F. Annunziata present their side of the problem to A. Renz, E. Bermingham, J. Kenny, and R. Kirwan. NICK: J. Sweek literally tears poor Nick apart for the biological benefit of T. Rogers, J. Hall, F. Hartman, G. Deinhardt, and R. Lewis. LOCKERS: Getting out the books they will need for their afternoon courses are R. Horsting, T. Fitzgerald, J. McDermott, A. Ryan, and J. Riches. swf WM N a bright September morning fifty new freshmen entered the classrooms of Holy Trinity High School. After a week or two we be- gan to look lively, and everyone knew each other. When the tryouts came for the Freshman basketball team, more than half of the class signed up. ln a month or two we had six players on the team, namely: W. Rose, R. Barrett, J. Stafford, J. O'Dwyer, J. Coronna, and D. Phelan. Class officers were chosen at the beginning of the term. The results ofthe election were: K, Koch, Class President, R. Kelly, Vice-President, and F. Keuntje, Secretary-Treasurer. Later, V. Zustovich was chosen to represent the class on the Student Council. Then came news of the Trinity Yearbook, the Triad. We Freshmen answered the call and brought in our quota of patrons and subscriptions. ir'k1lr'k VISIT: R. Jacobsen, R. Sauer, J. Carroll, J. Sweeney, J. Chinnici, and J. Cowan make a brief visit to Our Lord in the Blessed Sacra- ment during lunch time. LATIN: J. O'Dwyer ponders possibilities much to the amusement of J. Yeager, R. King, A. Cummings, F. Schmidt, and J. Flynn. ARRIVAL: Getting ready to begin a hard day at the books are H. Graber, G. Kuhn, A. Al- varez, F. Curreri, F. Allgaier, R. Barrett. BOX BALL: As K. Davitt prepares to knock one out of the lot , S. Prudente, G. Murray, F. McGrath, and R. Bates intently watch the pitcher. J. Gruhn is the catcher. 28
