Hoban, T. Lilly, J. McKay, J, McLaughlin, K. Peters, G. Savio, and R. Shaw. Bud- ding journalists who hail from the fifth term are R. Lyle, R, Brogna, J. Gilmore, V. Cassidy, E. Shea, and T. Simmons. J. Witaker, J. McKay, and T. Simmons are camera addicts who spent much of their time click- ing shutters for the Camera Club. Heading the class government are M. Coughlin, President, K. Peters, Vice-President, and R, Shaw, Secre- tary. All in all the Class of January i949 will not soon be forgotten at Holy Trinity. tiff RELIGION: Discussing places in the Holy Land are R. Lyle, R. Brogna, W. Kosman, J. Kanzler, J. Monaghan, R. White, and A. Clinton. OFFICE: Awaiting their turn to discuss im- portant matters in the office are T. Kenny, D. Troy, R. Maher, T. Mason, J. McKay, and J. Thomann. LIBRARY: J. Bartlett, F. Mazza, T. Crotty, W. O'Halloran, L. Klingler, P. Hoban, and J. Beer find the library a place of knowledge and relaxation. PING-PONG: D. Goodchild shows the latest in fancy serves to J. McLaughlin, W. Schie- beluth, T. Lilly, R. Tobin, F. Herget, and G. Graham. 22

LW' qw E OF the fifth term proudly give an account of our schol- astic and athletic successes. We led the scholastic standings with more students on the honor roll than any other class. M, Coughlin, J. Gil- more, K. Peters, and J. Benson usu- ally take first honors, and R. Brogna, E. Corke, P. Hoban, W. Kosman, R. Shaw, D. Troy, and J. Monaghan take second honors regularly. We are also well represented in sports. On the J. V. basketball team we have P. Hoban, who was moved up to the Varsity late in the season, J, Savio, T. Lilly, W. Schiebelhuth. On the baseball team there is hard- hitting M. Coughlin, J. Slattery, J. Savio, J. Cleary, and P. Hoban. The fifth term is also noted for its active support of school activities. tiki STRATEGY: Planning for coming events are M. Coughlin, President, Bro. William Cren- ner, S.M., J. That early ambition is still within the class. lts sporting blood is well represented in its basketball players P. Kennedy, D, Hoeg, R. Boesch, P. Gundel, and J. Groarke, who spark our J. V. team, and J. Carrick, P. Rovtar, P. McDonald, P. McCann, T. O'Donell, E. Greeley, and F. Shear, who took our intramural team into the finals. In extra-curriculars, too, the class boasts of participants. Those serving on the school orchestra are J. Markey, F. Matos, J. Baker, J. John- son, R. Keating, G. Fleig, and G. McKnight. Fourth termers also hold places among the honor students with F. Dunseith, D. Hoeg, R. Keat- ing, F. Matos, A. Beaupre, F. Cav- anagh, and J.
