unior Cizijlkllf olizague The purpose of the unior Classical League is to arouse more interest in the most beautiful of the classical languages Latin is the language of the Catholic Church and is used in medicine law and many other fields Educationally we need mention only one reward coming from the study of Latin A large percentage of our English words are derived either directly from the Latin or indirectly through the mediums of French Spanish and other languages that can never be gained from other courses During the past year at Rosary the C L has increased in membership prestige and activities Meetings are held and conducted by a different class each month under the able leadership of Sister M Petrina Programs and short skits are enacted for the enjoyment of the student body and each year a national contest is ponsored The year is climaxed by a banquet and awarding of prizes to those obtaining an average of ninety or above for the year . . . . 7 .
