Since our freshman year we have had the reputation of being a model, stu- dious and talented group. Now We complete our junior year, which is said to be the happiest of the four high school years. The year's crowning activity was, of course, the junior play, entitled Every- body's Crazyf, given hlarch 26. The work called for the largest cast that has ever gone on the stage of the Mossyrock auditorium for a high school play. It was a huge success and things look very encouraging for the next year's senior play, considering the dramatic talent uncovered by this year's performance. As the time came around for the juniors to entertain the student body, the class worked up several skits, musical numbers and a monologue. Our class was well represented in athletics. The juniors contributed more athletes than any other one class. The number includes: Bob Steele, Clyde Strong, Grady Bratcher, Cecil Baker, Paul Reagan, Eddie Rittenhouse, Verne Perkins, Carl and Elmer Pries, and Tom Overstreet. The girls who took out- standing part in athletics were: Thelma England, Beatrice Sawyer, Lotus Thomp- son, Virginia Martin, Esther Steele and Alma Sherman. It is an annual tradition that the juniors entertain the seniors each year. This year the juniors Tised the successful method of picnic supper and theatre entertainment. Here we are thirty-three strong, ready, willing and able to take over senior duties and responsibilities. Page Fourteen

TOAST TO SENIORS Here's to the seniors, Mossyrock's pride. They're leaving us now to go with the tide. Kerns heads the list with his ability to rule, Margaret comes next, the smartest in school. The five Georges are clever lads we claim, We're sure they'll go onward and upward to fame. Our May Queen is next, Mona's the lass. Then comes Wanda, president of the class. Doc is the boy who just can't behave, Clarence is the boy with the permanent wave. Who's next? Oh yes. Bernice, our young June bride. Too bad, fellows, she's already been spied! That Snodgrass boy can sure play ball, And where Powell came from, they grow ,em tall. Now we have Norie, our basketball champ, Frank, all the girls have been trying to vamp. Next is Bill who is on the staff. Here comes the two Toms, prepare for a laugh! Chuck has been hit by cupid's dart. Now we have Pierce, better know as Art. Helen is the girl with the laughing eyes. Perkins, we're sure in this world will rise. Ralph is the boy with the southern drawlg Glen Brooks you know, is exceedingly small. Next is Leonard who has fiery hair. Schwartz and Reynolds are a handsome pair. Last but not least comes Mary, so clever, We're wishing now she'd stay here forever. This ends our toast to the seniors true. VVe won't say goodbye, we'll just say adieu. --lvv FULLER and BEss1E WILSON, '39. Page Thirteen

That suits us well for they say dignity comes when you are old and a senior. VVe're saving up for that time with a goodly store of knowledge and wisdom. Look at the good examples already set for us, so why not be gay while we can? The class was well represented in basketball by both boys and girls. Our boys turned out well in other sports, too, but of course every one can't make the grade. Vie try though, and are very studious but possibly not too smart. Some great singers are sure to rise from our classg some poets, some artists, too, perhaps. The rest are just good common people. Our class has to provide our own amusement anyway because we are left out, pushed around and for- gotten by othersg we do not even have the honor Cif anyj of being freshmen. At the Tilton River, a most favored spot, the honorable sophomores held their picnic amid much rejoicing and merriment under the watchful eye of a teacher or two. With our cheerful philosophy and ability to get along, we will make model juniors, the schoolis joy and hopeg and we wish we may be as happy and good scholars then as we have been this year.
