SENIORS IN REVIEW XNANDA HUMMEL ..Senior Clary President Her finger: shame the ivory keyrg they dance ro lightly alongfi 666ilIliIlXIE lX'Iarches Onll' Here we are seniors, twenty-nine strong! We entered as freshmen four short years ago with thirty students. Now nineteen of the original number remain. Some members have dropped out and their places have been filled by transfer and special students. Lawrence Powell hailed from Onalaska, Bernice Adkins from California, Earl Reynolds from Randle, Wanda Hummel from Centralia, and Ralph Selfe from way back yonder in West Virginny. Our class has been well represented in various types of school activitites. To boys' basketball our class contributed Ted Perkins, Glen Schwartz, Don Adams, and Bill McDaniel. In girls' basketball we were represented by Mona Miller, Lanora Collins, Helen Hanger, Wanda Hummel, Bernice Adkins, and Mary Hensley. These girls won the interclass basketballlchampionship for three years. In other activities our class was well represented. In football, for instance, Law- son Snodgrass with his Tarzan strength and his unique words of inspiration did much to bring victory to Mossyrock. Tom Severns gave all he had to the game, fighting for his Alma Mater. Adams, with his speed and wily tactics and shifti- ness was responsible for the majority of Mossyr0ck's touchdowns. Others out- standing in football were: Degross, Brooks, Hagen, Gossan and Smetzler. For the junior play last year the class selected and presented Behind the News. As seniors the class presented The Gentleman From Hong Kongf' a three-act mystery comedy. Since entering high school our class has been striving to win the class day award for the best program presented on class day. Although we failed in our freshman and sophomore years, we were not discouraged and were rewarded for our efforts during our junior year. From the senior class we graduate to the class of alumni. No doubt we will always hold dear the memory of four pleasant and happy years spent in Mossy- rock High School. Page Nine
