ASSOCIATED STUDENT BODY QRADY BRATCHER, the new student body president, called the first meet- ing to order, the business was discussed and a financial report given. Prior to each student body meeting, the student council met to discuss the business problems to be brought to the attention of the student body. Following adjournment, a program was presented. The faculty, each class and school organization was responsible for one program. On January 16, three boys were invited to represent the hlossyrock High School in the Young Men's Christian Association conference held in Centralia. The three elected by the student body were: Grady Bratcher, Bob Kerns and Lawson Snodgrass. When the floods were raging in the east last winter, the student body con- tributed to the Red Cross fund. The annual May Day was held May 14, with Mona Miller, May Queen, Lanora Collins, senior attendant, Lotus Thompson, junior attendant, Delia Mc- Murry, sophomore attendant, Wilma Kelly, freshman attendant. The student body officers for the year were: Grady Bratcher, president, Verne Perkins, vice-president, jean Jarvis, secretary, Edward Rittenhouse, fi- nancial manager, Margaret Weed, editor of the annual, Lanora Collins, assistant editor of the annual, lWona Miller, yell queen, Lindsey Senter, yell king, Thelma England, girls' athletic manager, Tom Gossan, boys' athletic manager.

STUDENT COUNCIL lilXIOCRA'l'IC school government is vested in this worthy organization which is composed of the student body president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer and a representative from each class. The duties of Student Council are to introduce new questions and ideas to the Student Body so that there will be some interest and variation in the meet- ings. The Student Council holds its meetings the first and third lX'londay of month. The class representatives are to speak for their classes in the meetings.
