AFTER H 0 URS s OUR WAY F It was 3:30, and yet the school was still alive with activity. The band could be heard tooting in the band haII, while the foot- ball field was alive with some sort of event. There were stu- dents talking while waiting for buses, and inside there were q still a few studen ts talking With teachers or making up tests. A strange occurrence? No, this was a normal day at MPHS. The school served as much more than just a place to have classes. It was alive even after K A fun way Kelly Simms spends her spare time is talking on the phone. While some students stayed, others raced home to eat, watch TV, talk on the phone, or even sleep. Some went shopping or out to eat. No matter how the time was spent though, after school hours proved to be a valuable part of each day. 1 Another option for using after-hour time is to work, like Shannon Jones. WW5!

rMPHS students have always done itN their way during the summer, this year being no exception. We enjoyed our time off by taking trips, relaxing, or just forgetting about homework and class for awhile. Man y people went on trips with fam- ily and friends, While others stayed home and enjoyed outdoor fun such - as swimming or water-skiing. Still others just stayed home and caught up on soaps and phone calls With Uriends. j One good thing about summer is the chance to spend time leisurely. Doyle Simmers takes a breather from his activities. Tracy 8: Troy Robinson visited New York City and had the opportunity to see the Statue of Liberty. Sandra Jackson spends some of her summer time visiting Pensacola, Florida. '30? Disney World has obviously Hcaptured DeAndra Cartetis attention! STUDENT LIFEh5

Some people, like Janelle Carter, like to run home and catch a little TV before dinner. Sometimes after school hours mean rough, hard work, like girlsl basketball practice. During a football season, the Tiger Band puts in long hours working on a great halftime show. 4.1 v,-.2- - l, W OleMiss mum .
