Teacher Of The Year Mr. Louis Kendall The Teacher of the Year Award is sponsored annu- ally by the Student Council. This honor is given to the teacher whose attitudes, ideas, and teaching are the most representative of the ideal instructor. He must show a concern for the student, be sincere in purpose and get along well with his fellow teachers. The Student Council is proud to an- nounce the Teacher of the Year for 1968-69, Mr. Louis Kendall. Mr. Kendall has been in the teaching profession for the past 36 years. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Mississippi State University and a Master of Arts Degree from the University of Florida. His many interests include collecting rocks and doing carpentry work. The subjects taught by Mr. Kendall include Physics, Ninth Science, and Biology. Each year he works untir- ingly on the school's annual science fair. He has a sincere interest in all of his students and always strives to make science interesting to them. Surely Mr. Louis Kendall is very deserving of this distinguished award. 22

What is he like this man about cam- pus? To be brief and do him justice is impossible. He graduated from the Uni- wrsity of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1951, and in 1955 received his Master's Degree in administration. His experience in waching social studies, as Well as poaching basketball, has well prepared him for administration duties as the past thirteen years have proven. We say that Moss Point High is only as good as its administrator, and we say that he's the very best. Assistant Principal . . . Hue 0f the few people who come in con- tact with every dimension of school life is Mr. George Dale, our assistant prin- i'ipal. He is a disciplinarian, to be sure, lmt he is admired and respected by all. HC is in charge of attendance policies, students schedules, and various other 1:1 SkS. Mr. Dale was born in Prentiss, Missie ssippi, and he attended Mississippi Col- haw. His teaching and coaching career lxgali here at Moss Point.
