In high school, he was ac- tive in all sports and class plays, and was the recipient of the school's Sports- manship Award. Continuing his active routine in diversi- fied areas, Mr. Berry went to the Unie versity of Southern Mississippi upon graduation from high school. At U. S. M. , he was appointed trainer 0f the freshman football team and was captain of the basketball team. After receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in history, Mr. Berry came to Moss Point to teach American History and coach football and basketball. The twig is so easily bended I have banished the rule and the rod: I have taught them the goodness of knowledge, They have taught me the goodness of God, My heart is the dungeon of darkness, Where I shut them from breaking a rule; My frown is sufficient correction; My love is the law of the school.
