Guy Moore is certainly a qualified member of the 1968 Hall of Fame. The polite Student Body President has displayed able leadership in several activities. As a club and class officer, Boy's State repre- sentative, and aggressive athlete, Guy has shown great promise and desire. We salute Mr. MPHS for his outstanding achievements. Amelia Boo Turner represented her school and community im- pressively in two state-wide contests. As Moss Point's Junior Miss. Boo charmed officials and fellow contestants with her winning smile and personality. She was voted as Miss Congeniality. Previously. the Mississippi Chapters of the Daughters of the American Revolution named the lovely miss as first alternate for the state. At home, she displayed a warm friendship and willing- ness to work in various activities. The capable editor of the Tiger Flash has surely earned her position in the Hall of Fame. A sincere, hard-working student, David Wood has excelled in Church and school related activities with his ability to serve as well as to lead. He has performed expertly in student government and club activity and on the athletic field. The versatile scholar placed third in the State Track Meet his Junior year in the 880-yard run. As re- cipient of the Scholarship-Leadership-Sportmanship Award. the likeable senior typifies well the qualities of a Hall of Fame winner. 29

Having served as President of the Y-Teens, Jeanette Bowman has dis- played well the essential traits necessary for effective leadership in a Christian organization. She was selected Most Sophisticated Senior and Most Polite in the Who's Who elections. Because of her lead- ership and scholarship ability, Jeanette well deserves the right to initiate this year's chapter of the Hall of Fame. Carol Cowart has proven herself to be a conscientious, dependable scholar in all phases of club and class work. As a member of the GROWLER editorial staff, she provided essential determination and skill for an executive position. The winner of two scholastic letters, Carol has done more than her share to earn the honor of membership to the 1968 Hall of Fame. Having served as cheerleader for the Tiger team for three years, vivacious Sharon Lanham displayed energetic spirit and enthusiastic support for her school. Her sincere efforts were rewarded her senior year as she was selected Homecoming Queen. The popular miss was elected to the Who's Who contest's highest honor. Miss MPHS. Her personality, spirit, and versatility give Sharon the deserving honor of membership to the Hall of Fame. 28
