1 3A2 row er 953 1 .VM- 4A vw,- q..- 4,..t We, the staff of the first Growler to be pub- lished since 1948, feelhonored that it should be our privilege to renew the tradition of a student annual. We will have accomplished our purpose, if this book becomes increasingly meaningful as time goes by, and high school activities and associations begin to grow dim - in your memory. It is to help you with your remembering that we give you this a Growler of 1953. THE STAFF ibeclication - - - - As the 1953 graduates are handed their diplomas, they will embark on the road of life ahead, wherever it may take them. And proceeding side by side with them along that road will be progress. With that eagerness to advance which only youth can provide and with the wisdom which they can obtain on- ly from older generations, that road will lengthen. Eachprob- lem faced. whether or not the answer will prove to be the true one, will be a stepping stone. Today, as Seniors leave the world ofhighschool and its joys, they will be met by the seriousness of being in an age of atomic power, and on their shoulders will be placed the consequence of that power. This book is dedicated to seniors with the hope that the goals which they seek will be inspired by a higher power than that which a scientist could provide. As Seniors move, so shall the progress of the world. lion, ' fra .0 l n l Jdalm n-Iu.lvuIn-IIIII - L. W. TANNER, Superintendent M. J'. BULLOCK, Principal OFFICE -STHFf - PICTURED.
