PfeS1dem- l951 found the combined Audio Visual Education and Camera Club literally swamped with new equipment. The Camera Club bought a new washer, used to clean prints and film. The AVE acquired an Eicor tape'recorder, a Keystone projector, a new film strip projector, and a record player. Largest project the AVE undertook was a study of posture in grade school children, worked in cooperation with the physical education department and with the aid of Mr. Reames of the grade school. Between annual and newspaper photography the two clubs managed to catalogue slides and its 550 film strips. Enlarging the stock, new transcriptions on the United Nations, and dramatized biographies were also received. UFFICE GIRL A I Y I 4 I f ll -as ,, The cheery Good morning girls L-R: Joyce Leighton, Waltena Sheppard, Dorie Adriance, Adrianne Sharp, Lucille Clam, Sandra Weeks, Goldie Jingling. Absent from picture: Ioan Noel. Delivering messages right off the telephone wires to the students in various classes, check absences, and doing routine office work are all part of the job for the girls enrolled in the on-the-job office practice course. The girls work in both the highschool and grade school offices. It's overnight reserve-two-cents added each class period you keep it, can be heard during the eighth period when the students rush up to checkout their evening study. Alternating through the eight periods of the day the library staff gives excellent service in our ove rc rowded library.
