IIESSUICF. October was half over before the club got a bright idea. Why not give a Get acquainted' dance October 2O? the Tri Hi Y girls said. Since that date is ahop, skip, and jump from Halloween, they strewed black and orange crepe paper around the cafeteria ceilingg slung an improvised witch on a table, served cider and doughnuts, and gave their dance the theme Be- witched, Winter came and the girls began working at the hospital, presented a Thanksgiving as semblyg and a brief siege of noon movies were shown. They also sponsored the March of Dimes prin- cesses, gave their annual Cotton Ball, and sent representatives to the Tri Hi Y legislature at Olympia. The boys' Christian club, Hi Y, sent juniors Pat O'Shaughnessy, and Wes Crago to the Pre- legislature conference at Ellensburg during the last part of November. There the boys elected official delegates to the legislature held in Olympia the 13th and l4th of April. They also drew up bills and learned how the legislature worked. At the beginning of the year the Hi Y con- sisted of only nine members. Why not have some different blood? they wondered. So mid-year they elected nine new boys into the club.
