asf ml! and Cestameut BETTY ANN PHILLIPS TU!-IA ADAMS We, the Senio Class of Nineteen Hundred and Fifty six of Morven High School in the county of Anson the State of North Carolina, being of sound mind and realizing our impending departure from this school do hereby declare and make this our last will and testament ARTICLE I To Mr Northcutt we wish to express our many thanks for the interest and leadership he has shown us during the past year To our teachers we leave our deepest appreciation for their ef forts toward increasing our wisdom ARTICLE II To the buildings and buses we leave our deepest sympathy after the care we gave them for the past four years ARTICLE III To the Undergraduates To the Junior Class we leave our rumbled seats in the Senior home room and our ability to make good grades To the Sophomore Class, we bequeath our ability to get along with and influence people Since they are such a quiet, well mannered group we leave them all our catty remarks To the Freshmen we leave our hopes that before long they will occupy the position that we now occupy ARTICLE IV Individual bequests During our years of school we have accumulated some well known 3111 cles which we would like to bestow upon specific underclassmen They are as follows Clara Ann Livingston, will my place on the honor roll to Robbie Jean Livingston just to keep it in the family and my red hair to Robert Canrpe James Gathmgs bequeath my ability to give the right answer in history and stand by it to Janet Adams, and my ability to get up at 8 05 and to get to school at B 06 to Joyce Gathings who needs it Julia Adams, will my ability to play basketball to Martha Wigley and my known passion for Elvis Presley to Shirley Stubbs Richard Rhynes, leave my ability to play the part of the great lover to Louis Morris, and my good sportsmanship to Lowell Bosewell and I also want to leave my singing voice to Bobby Stubbs Betty Ann Philhps will my ability to eat alll want and more and still stay slim to Mary Braswell and my ability to foul out in the first quarter of a ball game to Martha Deese Bryant Braswell, bequeath my masculine handsomeness to Mac Thomas, and my muscles to Thomas Phillips Mary Harney will my ability to get along with the male population of this school to Patsy Streater, and my ability to be late to classes to Judy Hutchinson I John Long, will my ability to get traffic tickets to Jerry Timmons and my success in bluff ing for a Chevrolet to Tommy Parrish and Wayne Ballard. Lois Eddins do bequeath my desire to read to Sylvia Braswell and my ability to tell fibs to Daisy Lee Purvis. Irene Dean, leave my ability to get along with the teachers to the Junior Girls and my quietness to the whole high school -- they surely do need it. Peggy Joyce Lowery, leave my excess weight to Kathryn Hightower, and my excuse blanks and absence privileges to my sister Frankie, who will use them next year. I Charles Ackerman, bequeath my ability to take curves in school bus number 23 to Dewey Thomas, and my height to Julian Ackerman.
