In the field of athletics, this class was well represented in football, basketball. and track by Ernie Minton. James Hart. George Wheeler, Robert Rupp, John Glessner, John Markovich. Reginald Stone, James Draper. Norman Goins, Albert Harrington, Clarence Draper, David Leth, John Hull, and William Jordan. Anita Smith, along with Mildred Oldham, Gladys Hamilton, Jane Glaze, and Daisy Corbin have put forth splendid work and promising talent in the dancing classes. In choir the class was represented by Gene Hull, Mildred Oldham, James Draper. Gladys Hamilton, Marilyn Browning, Jerry Brewer, Anita Smith, Diana Bragdon. David Leth, Charlene Flint, Carl Gilmore, Charles Bragg, and Reginald Stone. The juniors who participated in band were: Jerry Brewer, David Leth, Reginald Stone, Ernie Minton, James Hart, and John Markovich. The class was also well represented in boys' chorus by: Gene llull, James Draper, Jerry Brewer. David lieth. Ernie Minton, .Iohn Hull. t'arl Gilmore, Reginald Stone, John Markovich, Norman Goins, and Charles Bragg. Girls from this class active in -1-ll work were: Mildred Oldham, Gladys Hamilton, Daisy Corbin. Marilyn Browning. Vharlene Flint, Joann Weatherbee, Anita Smith, and Diana Bragdon. William .Iordan, James Draper, Robert Rupp, Vlarence Draper, and Ernie Minton are members of the Photography t'lub. Outstanding scholars in the junior class are: James Draper, Joann Weatherbee, Anita Smith. Norman Goins, James Hart, Diana Bragdon, Ernie Minton, Robert Rupp, John Hull, George Wheeler, and Vlarence Draper. Among these, James Draper, Norman Goins, and Joann Weatherbee are members of the National Honor Society. The juniors are the ones who must be secretive about the decoration of the Prom. to which everyone in the junior class looks forward.

HIRTY-TWO students represents the sophomore class at Morton Memorial High this year. Their class sponsors are Mr. Levy and Miss Vickrey. The sophomores have many students who are active in the various clubs, organiza- tions, and athletics that are found on the campus. Those representing the class in the field of athletics are: Joe McDermitt, Clifford McDermitt, Frank Strother, William Paige, and Melvin Whitesell. David Goins was student manager for the varsity teams of Morton Memorial. Several of the boys are expected to help Morton Memorial's basket- ball fortunes in the years to come. Rosemary Ketchum is one of our cheerleaders. Girls especially talented in music and dancing are: Sue Flint, Betty Craft, Evelyn Smith, Florence Leth, Margaret Napier, Rosemary Ketchum, and Carmen Harbert. Members from this class are also repre- sented in the 4-H and Art Clubs These stu- dents are: Ruth Flint, Sue Flint, Judy Jordan, Ellen Joyce, Betty Craft, Florence Leth, Esther McCloud, Rosemary Ketchum, Evelyn Smith, Sharon Lovett, Margaret Napier, Fred Searcy, and Gary Dooley. The boys who participated in boys' chorus are: Kenneth Rich, Joe McDermitt, Gary Dooley, Vernon Grubbs, Roland Jack, Clifford McDermitt, Frank Strother, and Frank Oldham. Those students in choir are: Naomi Askin, Betty Craft, Gary Dooley, Vernon Grubbs, Judy Jordan, Sue Flint, Rosemary Ketchum, Evelyn Smith, Carmen Harbert, Margaret Napier, and Clifford McDermitt. There are some that have been making good grades and are looking forward to getting in the National Honor Society. These students are: Donald Towne, Betty Craft, Rosemary Ketchum, Sue Flint, and Ruth Flint. Among these, Donald Towne, and Betty Craft were inducted into National Honor Society this year.
