Many members are represented in the band, choir, photo club, Echo staff, student council, dance band, tap dancing. orchestra, piano, organ and student store. The boys in this class are also active in sports with several on the basketbal, football. and track teams. The class president is Clifford Gerbig: Vice-president, Richard Shields: Secretary, Alice Strother: and Treasurer, Jim Strother. .Ioan Scofield brought honor to the class with firsts in dis- trict and state voice contests. Three members of the class are cheer leaders. They are Hattie Moreland, Marian McIntosh, and Eva Lee McLemore.

This class participates in different clubs and other activi- ties. with members in the band, choir. tap dancing, debate, 4-H club, library club, photo club, and student council. Outstanding members in this class scholastically are: Jeannette Nicosia. Yvonne Rapelje, Sarah Goodwin, Leroy McDaniel. and Marie Hopper. The students have been initi- ated into our National Honor Society. Marie Hopper. Lila Donavon, and John Erwin are among' the musically talented of this class. Marie Hopper and John Erwin went to the district and the state contest and won a first and second division rating: respectively. The boys are also active in various sports.
