The boys are active in sports with several on the basketball and track teams. Bob Snedaker made the varsity in basketball and Bob Snedaker, Fred Mitchell, and Leroy Mc- Daniel have done well on the track team. 26 The girls have participated in the intramural sports such as hockey, softball, and tennis. The members of the class presented an outstanding dramatic production that in- cluded a play and skit during: the school year The play was about a boy who was trying to marry off his sister so he could have her room and the skit was a take off on the teachers where the students pretended they were the teachers as they had been when they were students.

FRESI-IMAN CLASS ln the freshman class there are 46 stu- dents. They are divided into two groups so the classes will not be too large. In the class elections Clifford Gerbig was elected l'resident, James Strother Vice- President, Alice Strother Secretary, and Margaret Erwin as Treasurer. They did a nice job as class officers. There are several talented members in this class. There are those who are in debate club and they are setting a goal for them- selves so that they may become future debat- ers. One member is one of the peppy cheer leaders and is doing a good job. There are some that have been making good grades and are looking forward to getting in the National Honor Society. There is Joan Sco- field who is musically talented and does a nice job of entertaining the students. Last, but not least, those boys who played on the second team in basketball. We hope some day they will make a good varsity team. Keep up the good work and the students of the freshman class will be very proud of their group's achievements. 27
