I UN IOR CLASS There are twenty-one jolly juniors this year, and they are well represented in Choir, Hand, Debate Vlub, National llonor Society. Commercial Flub, Track, I-laskethall and Baseball. Those active in sports are: Jim Fortis, .lack Johnson, Aaron Baker. Tom Ollier, Hill C'arpe-nter, Roy Allison and James Stone. The members of the National Honor Society are Jackie Hyon, Peggy Scofield and William C'arpenter. We hope they will al- ways be proud of this honor. The Juniors are the ones to be secretiVe this year about the decoration of the Prom. llere's good luck to you, kids. The girls are excited to see which girls will be chosen to be Fadet Sponsors. I know Mr. McCready and the boys will have a hard time selecting the ones to be elected. Peggy Scofield, Jackie Ryon. and Betty Farringeon were the ones to he chosen to go to Girls' State this year. These girls have worked hard for this opportunity. This year the jolly juniors are looking forward to obtaining the title of the So- phisticated Seniors or which every junior class looks forward to. The sponsor teachers for this class are Miss Nancy Sherwood and Mr. F. B. Wiley. 25

SOPHOMCDRE CLASS There are thirty-seven students in the Sophomore class. They are sponsored by Miss O'Dowd and Mr. Byers. The class is active in the various clubs and organizations that are found on the campus. Several mem- bers are in the band, choir, and debate club. The boys are active in sports with several on the basketball and track teams. Bob Snedaker made the varsity in basketball and Bob Snedaker, Fred Mitchell, and Leroy Mc- Daniel have done well on the track team. 26 The girls have participated in the intramural sports such as hockey, softball, and tennis. The members of the class presented an outstanding dramatic production that in- cluded a play and skit during: the school year The play was about a boy who was trying to marry off his sister so he could have her room and the skit was a take off on the teachers where the students pretended they were the teachers as they had been when they were students.
