The officers for the year were: Leroy Snedaker, president: and Retus Tucker, secretary. The team was com- posed of the boys that were the farthest ad- vanced and better shots. During the year Walter Hamm attained the rating of Expert Ridemanl Leroy Snedaker and Ira Odle were well on their way to attaining this rat- ing. A number of boys were sharpshooters on the various bars. The lack ol' ammunition and transportation curtailed the shooting a lot this year but a few matches with the girl's team were held. GIRLS' RIFLE TEAM In the front row, left to right, are: M. Drake, D. Pohl. and M. Dean. In the second row are: E. Lauren, J. Wikotf, IC. Grifith. and L. Daebell- iehn. Major Purvis instructed them assisted by Miss Wanda Kotchek and Miss Marie O'IJowd. Freda Farmer was the leading girl shooter for the year and she was well on the way to attaining the rating of Ex- pert Rifleman. Some may think that the girls aren't as good shots as the boys but some of the girls could hold their own with the boys. Although the boys beat the girls in sev- eral matches some of the margins were close. The officers for the year were: Ruby Fouty, president: and Freda Farmer, secretary.
