There was an air of excitement throughout the day as the running for the homecoming queen promised to be close with ten pretty, popular girls competing. George Kehza, lucky fellow, acted as master ol' cere- ,Qin :'V iii K ARLENE ARNOLD Queen GRACE WERLETN monies., presenting bouquets to the winners of the contest. Arlene Arnold was elected queen with Audrey Ludwig and Grace Werlein as her ladies-in-waiting. Over one-hundred guests attended this affair with a large representation of alumni and even a few of the younger, married faculty joining the festivities. The line turnout for the first homecoming game in years shown in the picture at the right. Page 26
