Eternal Lilel' by Fred Eastman was the play selected For the Christmas assembly. It vvas the story ol six people who were trapped in an air raid shelter lor three days and laced almost certain death, l-low they reacted to the situation ot almost inevitable death proved very interesting. Marian Chalouplca and l'lerbert Langner starred as Mary Bowman, a Widow and glohn l-lale her lather. The main attraction of the year was the staging ol Sam janneys H-lhe Blaclt Flamingon on Friday, March T3 with thirteen members in the cast ol this mystery thriller. lhis intriguing and romantic melo- drama had as its setting a lonely inn in France after the tall ot the Bastille. Deloris Argianas, lrene Krenelt, and l-lerbert Langner were cast in the leading roles. The Morton junior College Chamber Qrchestra, uncler the oble direction ol Merrill Shepro, com- pleted a very successful season as one ol the most active organizations in the school.
