Lookin’ For Love In spite of the rainy weather and late arrival of the band, “Zoro”, the 1981 Junior-Senior Prom turned out to be a night to remember. The evening began with a banquet held at the Sheep Shedde in Olivia, with Mr. Duane Christenson featured as the guest speaker. The Grand March and dance followed the banquet, and then everyone headed up to Red- wood for the movie “Urban Cow- boy”, picked by the juniors in keep- ing with their country-western theme, “Lookin’ for Love.” The breakfast served by the junior moth- ers at the Morton Legion provided an ending for a close-to-perfect even- ing. ib

The first, “Shut and Bar the Door”, was a one act play given for the district competition in January. The second, “Who Dunit?”, was a three-act play given as a major part of Fun Night. The success of this play helped add to the overall success of Fun Night. The stu- dent council headed Fun Night in order to promote community involvement in the school. A chili supper was held followed by acts performed by the Indianettes, Birch Coulee 4-H Club, Student Council, and a solo by Joe Ruhland as well as the play. Hopeful- ly the success of Fun Night this year will help to make it an annual event and increase involvement in the school by the parents and involvement in other activities by the stu- dents.
