Homecoming Activities Homecoming 1980 was an event to re- member. The school was filled with spirit signs and contests designed to fire every one up. Coronation was held on Thursday night with Lorri Daun being crowned as 1980 Homecoming Queen. After corona- tion everyone was invited to attend the traditional bonfire behind the school. Fri- day was a wet, rainy day but the parade went on as scheduled. Dedicated girls played in the powder puff football game with the Senior-Freshmen team beating the Junior-Sophomore team. Friday night as the clouds cleared the Morton Football Team got ready for a tough game against Balaton. It took four overtimes but the Indians finally came through with a 34-28 Homecoming win. The dance was held on Saturday night with everyone having something to celebrate after Friday’s great victory. 13
