Pieces of April The 1974 Junior-Senior Prom was held on May 11. It be- gan with a banquet at St. John's Catholic church in Mor- ton, which included a meal and a program put on by the Juniors. Mr. Tate and former Science teacher, Mr. Al- ladin, both spoke. At 9 o'clock the Grand March began through a lovely, spring-time setting done to fit the prom theme, Pieces of April. The dance continued till twelve with music supplied by Apperson. Following the dance the couples were invited to the Falls Theater to watch Psycho. From 2 o'clock on a break- fast was served by Junior parents at the Legion Hall. This breakfast was intended to be the end of a long night, but many couples kept going, arriving home any time be- tween 3 and 8 o'clock. Awards Day Presentation of hard earned awards to many high school and secondary school students took place on May 23, 1974 in the high school auditorium. The award categories ranged from both girls' and boys' athletics to the coveted senior awards. This was the day that the stu- dents of M.H.S. had worked all year for; when they could see proof of the hours they had put into the many activities and classes they had undertaken.
