HOMECOMING Homecoming festivities began at Morton High School on Thursday, October 5, 1967« The first scheduled event was the program Thursday night. The highlight of the program was the coronation ceremony in which Joy Lynn Robinson was crowned homecoming oueen by Linda Kodet, the outgoing 1966 homecoming queen. Joy Lynn was escorted by Randy Lothert, a ouarterback on the football team. The two Morton High princesses, Monica Kodet and Arlene Mude were escorted by Greg Kuglin, a halfback and Dick Reb- stock, a team tackle. After receiving her crown the choral group seranaded the new oueen with the song The Sweetheart Tree. Other highlights of the program included skits by the various clubs. The cheerleaders won the first prize. The festivities Friday, October 6, began at 1:30 p.m. with a parade led by the Honor Guard, Pom Pom girls, and the M.H.S. Band. Also featured in the parade were the queen, her princesses and floats presenting the various classes and organizations. Following the parade was the football game in which Morton defeated Gaylord in a close and thrill- ing contest. 11
