Junior-Senior Prom A light rain followed by a brisk wind failed to dampen the spirits of the Juniors and Seniors as they boarded their bus for the Orchid Inn at Sleepy Eye on May 12, 196?. The eloquent occasion was the annual Prom presented to the Seniors by the Junior Class. Soft lights and music set the mood for the theme, Moonlight and Roses. Following the delectable meal of swiss steak, potatoes, carrots, and ice cream. Bob Mahoney, Jr. Class President welcomed the students, the faculty, and the school board and their wives to the Minnesota Room. Tonight and Moon River vocal selections sung by a choral group, preceded a speech on Friendship presented by Mr. Zetah, history teacher at Morton. Lee Mammen then read the class prophecy and Linda Kodet, Sr. Class President presented the Juniors with the Senior Class Will. The Grand March began at 9:30 with the Marshall Dance Band playing. The entire group enjoyed themselves tremendously and hope the Juniors of following years will continue to present such fine proms.
