SENIOR CLASS TRIP On Monday, April U, the Seniors and chaperons, Mr. and Mrs. H lli- day and Mr. and Mrs. Bryan, set out for the Twin Cities. ■ Blushing faces with slightly windblown hair, brightly colored skirts mov- ing gracefully over the dance floor, young fingers fumbling with corsage pins , signified that our 1966 Prom had begun. All the hard work of the Junior Class was beautifully displayed in delicate shades of pink crepe paper with assorted candy designs. At one end of the gym was an adorable candy house complete with red tulips in a window box. Punch was served from a rus- tic little well. Excited Juniors and Seniors passed through a candy cane arch as the Mar- shall High School Dance band began the evening of music. The Grand March at 8:00 was Candyland led by the Senior Class President, Jo Ann Sindelir, and her escort. A delight- ful buffet luncheon was served throughout the eve- ning with the Junior mothers assisting. The grade school hallway was gaily decorated and Sophomore servers led the couples to their tables. Later in the evening. Cliff Simon welcomed everyone and acted as the program's emcee. The class will and prophecy were read by Barb Caven and Jo Ann Sindelir, Jr. and Sr. Class Presidents. A girls sextet, Sandi Wolter, Ruth Mages, Arleen Kohout, Sue Ahrens, Barb Caven, and Cathy Sindelir sang select- ions from The Sound of Music and West Side Story. Every- one agreed that the evening was much too short. 49
