Coronation The evening of our homecoming coronation, Thurs- day, October lU, began with music by the pep band. A talent show, sponsored by the senior class, featured skits by the various organizations of the school. Frank Goelz, master of ceremonies, introduced each skit and then introduced Joann Kodet, our third run- ner-up to the queen, who commented on the royalty. To the theme of All American Girl, our candi- dates marched in with their escorts. Last year’s queen, Sandi Marguth, was escorted by Mike Tate. At the climactic moment of the evening, Sandi Wolter was crowned 1966 homecoming queen. The guests followed the royalty outside to the bonfire and peD fest which was led by the cheerlead- ers. After the queen lighted the symbolic fire the fans cheered and the coach gave his encouraging speech. The guests left with high hopes for the next day's activities.
